We recently had a chance to photograph Valerie and Ben’s Brazilian Room wedding reception and loved spending the day with them. There were lots of favorite from this wedding and we wanted to share a few with our blog readers:

 

I loved Valerie’s shoes – so bright and cheery, they reminded me of cute Dorothy shoes!

 

We started our coverage when Valerie was almost completely ready. Penney Do is one of our favorite Bay Area make-up artists and she did a wonderful job on Valerie’s hair and make-up!

 

Love this one of the bridesmaids getting ready – there was a large, horizontal mirror on the wall to help with their preparations:

 

We had just a few minutes to spare at the Shattuck Plaza Hotel after Valerie was all ready, but we just had to make use of these colorful walls:

We walked around the Tilden Park a bit and even though these photos were taken right in the middle of the day, when sun is the brightest, the light was just gorgeous!

 

 

 

 

We were happy to see our past clients Zahra and Ryan again! They got married in 2009 and we still remember every minute of their beautiful wedding day:

 

There was a yummy candy buffet at the wedding so we borrowed some gummy hearts for this ring photo:

A few weeks back we had the chance to photograph Inna and Alex’s wedding at the Osher Marin Jewish Community Center – one of the most popular Marin wedding venues. The day was full of sunshine, great celebration, as well as amazing details and decorations. We loved witnessing a more traditional Jewish ceremony at their wedding and it was an honor to be there for them. Without any further ado, here are our favorites!

Inna looked absolutely gorgeous and we loved shooting her portraits at the Legion of Honor:

 

The day started for us in San Francisco at Inna’s parents’ house where we photographed preparations as well as the couple’s First Look. Of course, I also had a chance to photograph these gorgeous wedding shoes:

 

 

 

This might be one of my favorite photos of the day: we were shooting bridal party photographs at the Legion of Honor in San Francisco and Inna’s little sister just couldn’t contain her happiness and love.

 

We had a little bit of time for bride and groom portraits at the Osher Marin JCC itself, so we decide to walk around and see what fun settings we’ll be able to find. Inna was a great sport and was posing stoically, even when she was right under the sun:

 

Loved the vibrant, red brick wall on the property:

 

A traditional Jewish ceremony was held in the courtyard of the Osher Center under a simple and very elegant chuppah:

 

The wedding reception was held at the Hoytt Theater of the Jewish Center. The dinner room was lit by beautiful lights that added so much to the ambiance and made their first dance look absolutely magical:

This was probably one of my favorite ring shots so far! We went a bit crazy and used some unusual props for this photo. Can you guess what they are? :)

This summer we’ve been super lucky to see familiar faces at almost every wedding. We’ve seen our past brides and grooms as wedding guests, bridesmaids and groomsmen, maids of honors and even officiants! It feels good to see that we’ve made our clients so happy that they continue to refer us to their friends and family. This wedding was also like this – we met Sasha at a wedding last summer where she gave a super sweet and emotional speech as the maid of honor and were excited when she got in touch to have us photograph her own wedding.

Sasha and Evgeny got married at the Palace Hotel in downtown San Francisco – one of our very favorite hotels in the city. Full of history and beautiful light, this venue is ideal for a real San Francisco wedding and it’s always a pleasure to shoot here.

 

 

I’m posting two photos of these shoes because I absolutely was not able to choose which one I like better. What can be better than sparkly shoes with red soles?

As it often happens at weddings, we were a bit short on time, but we still had a few minutes to take photos of Sasha before their First Look. Sasha looked absolutely stunning and we could shoot her forever in this vintage hotel room!

We were lucky enough to photograph beautiful vintage cars at two weddings in a row this summer! Sasha and Evgeny chose to get an awesome white Rolls to drive them around for portraits. We pulled into a small, quaint alleyway near the Place Hotel to capture this photo:

 

 

Photographs inside such cars always have such a nice old time feel to them:

 

The wedding ceremony was held at the Sunset Court of the Palace Hotel – an incredible room with a beautiful domed glass ceiling which gives the feeling of being outside and looking at the San Francisco cityscape while being in a warm room. We love shooting ceremonies in this room because it always has the most beautiful light no matter the weather and time of the day.

 

 

 

Both the cocktail hour as well as the wedding reception in the Gold Ballroom were beautifully decorated with lots of candles:
