This wedding day started for us just outside of the SF City Hall where we met up with Mitsi and David and had a chance to take advantage of the beautiful weather on this day. It was a blast to be there for this sweet couple and we had a great time capturing all the moments.

Here are some of our favorites:

 

The actual ceremony took place on the 4th floor gallery and had the most beautiful natural light. It was such a pleasure to shoot there! Definitely the best location in City Hall for a ceremony:

 

 

 

 

The wedding took place at the end of the day on a Friday, so by the time the ceremony was finished there was practically nobody inside of the City Hall. We took full advantage of that and were shooting wide, showcasing the gorgeous architecture of our San Francisco City Hall:

It was our pleasure and honor recently to photograph the wedding of Miriam and Jay at the gorgeous Dawn Ranch Lodge in Guerneville. When we met this great couple we immediately fell in love with their idea for how they wanted to personalize their celebration: Miriam and Jay met at a comic book shop in Santa Cruz and wanted to bring their passion for this art form into the big day. We always love to hear about couples personalizing their wedding days and this seemed like a great way to do it.

Additionally, their wedding took place at one of our favorite venues in wine country – the rustic Dawn Ranch Lodge. We just love the great, expansive meadows and orchards that serve so well for outdoor ceremonies and even reception dinners. Miriam and Jay’s wedding was blessed with simply amazing weather considering it was already the beginning of December. We had a blast documenting their celebration and wish them all the best!

Miriam and Jay’s First Look was a sight to behold – everyone within sight was overwhelmed by emotions:

 

 

 

We couldn’t help but play with the beautiful leaves all around us in the Orchard:

 

Miriam’s bouquet was just WOW and Jay’s boutonniere had miniature comic book characters! How cool is that?

 

 

 

We loved all the emotional moments during the Ketubah Signing:

Leading up to Olga and Misha’s wedding at The Fairmont in San Francisco we had no idea that a wedding in late November could have such beautiful weather. This was a full day of coverage for us and it was a pleasure to capture the wedding day so thoroughly – from the morning preparations to the final toast of the night.

Some favorites from the day:

 

The beautiful, intricate detail work on Olga’s dress was matched perfectly to these shimmering silver heels:

 

Olga had the help of her sister, Yulia, when getting ready for the big day:

First stop for portraits – the famous Legion of Honor! Considering this was a late November wedding, we hardly had any competition for those beautiful columns. Tourists and other visitors were watching our activities from a distance when one of them approached to ask if this was a “real wedding”:

 

It was so much fun to pose Olga and Misha for their romantic portraits! They were naturals and it almost seemed too easy:

 

They had a few tricks up their sleeves as well – it looked like they had this move completely mastered:

 

It’s always great fun when we sense that our couple is up for some edgy posing ideas. Did they make this one look HOT or what? :)

 

The ride across town in the limo with their Bridal Party was a lot of fun:

 

We were all wowed when we saw the amazing lighting and decorations set up for the ceremony in the Venetian Room of the Fairmont Hotel:

We love using settings with character and had a blast creating portraits in this brick-lined alley way:

 

 

 

When we were back on Nob Hill we noticed this pocket of sunlight and just had to make use of it for some more photos of Olga:

 

 

 

Following the ceremony, we rushed to the Gold Room to capture all the room decorations set up for the reception party:

 

The lighting was amazing throughout the night and it was great to see the room change color during Olga and Misha’s first dance:
