Ruby Hill Golf Club Wedding | SF Bay Area Photographer

 

We’ve recently had the pleasure of shooting Julie and Jonathan’s beautiful wedding at the classy Ruby Hill Golf Club in Pleasanton. The decorations and all of the attention paid to the tiniest of details really made this a celebration to remember. We also had just the perfect amount of clouds in the sky for soft, flattering light and it was a blast to walk all around the venue scoping out the best sights for portraits. Julie and Jonathan really made it easy to create candid and memorable portraits.

The ceremony naturally led the way towards a relaxed cocktail hour and an elegant reception. Shooting at Ruby Hill is just a joy and we both enjoyed the variety of angles and beautiful backgrounds available to us. There were emotions, fun moments, and lots of dancing to carry the celebration late into the night.

I can’t even tell you how much we love wedding dresses with lacing – you know the ones that take half an hour to put on. It gives us much more time to take creative and unique photos and explore all of the possible angles :)

 

How cute are they? The “First Look” is one of our favorite parts of the day and we were happy that Julie and Jonathan decided to see each other before the ceremony:

 

We had lots of time to walk all around the property and were happy to find this super cute and elegant terrace for portraits:

 

The soft clouds above provided great, flattering light during just the right time of the day! :)

 

 

Ruby Hill has the most amazing and giant old tree right on the edge of the golf course. We always love to use it for scene-setting wedding portraits:

 

 

There was also beautiful window light in the Main Dining Room:

Ruby Hill’s Main Ballroom never looked so good! The entire reception area was lit with a beautiful warm light and looked so inviting and elegant:

 

There was no shortage of paparazzi photographers among the guests and just behind us there was a wall of shooters:
