This wedding post is a long time in the making because we simply couldn’t choose which images to feature. Olivia and John had a 300 person wedding that was so intimate and warm that we fell in love with this family and the beautiful emotional moments that happened.

Without further ado (and because we’ve already made Olivia and John wait long enough) here are our favorites.

The prep room at The Fairmont in San Jose had gorgeous light from the windows:

Olivia opened her gift from the groom and the entire room got teary eyed watching her reaction:

The details. The entire day seemed to be full of gorgeous, well thought out details that made Villa Ragusa seem so intimate and personal:

I don’t think I was the only one who held my breath when Olivia bravely jumped up on a ledge to take down her dress:

We are often asked what kind of wedding dresses are our favorites. The answer is: the ones that take the longest time to put on :) The ones with a million tiny little buttons on the back!

John looking sharp, if slightly nervous, just before seeing his wife-to-be on the wedding day:

That hallway was looong. But she was worth waiting for. The first look:

I love Olivia’s eyes and hand, holding John so so tight!

And then we were off for portraits, exploring every corner of The Fairmont hotel, looking for perfect light:

Olivia and John were much more relaxed and open in front of our lenses after their Engagement Session. It wasn’t difficult to catch intimate and natural moments between them:

Supported by her dad, Olivia was just bursting with joy walking down the isle:

It’s too bad we don’t do video as I’d love to show you how many times Olivia was laughing and crying during her dad’s toast:

The first dance:

We caught this candid series during Olivia and John’s first dance. LOVE the way Olivia’s parents were looking at the couple:

And I’ll finish with these reception detail photographs. Edgar’s team from Flowers by Edgar cast their magic and converted the Villa Ragusa ballroom into a gorgeous purple fantasy scene:

Olivia and John – thank you for inviting us to spend the day with you, for opening up to us, and for allowing us to document all the beautiful moments that happened. We loved being there with you.
