Sebastiani Vineyard wedding photos: outdoor ceremony

We all know that planning a wedding is a huge undertaking and the couples who are able to pull off a gorgeous destination event always have our greatest respect. Kacie and Jon were planning a destination wedding all the way from sunny San Diego and we didn’t even have a chance to meet them before their wedding day. It always makes me a bit nervous if I’m not sure that we’ll recognize our bride and groom on the wedding day, but as soon as we walked into the bridal room we recognized Kacie right away. She was so full of energy and just glowing with happiness that it was absolutely clear who is the bride.

As it often happens on wedding days when we have not yet met the bride and groom, we look for a way to get to know and develop a relationship with them right away. This was hardly a challenge for this Sebastiani Vineyard wedding because this couple was so easy to meet. Their level of comfort and affection with each other made it very easy to connect with them instantly. We loved coming up with creative ideas for their portraits and their love filled the ceremony full of emotional moments. We love it when we see how much the couple is enjoying their day.

It was a picture-perfect wine country wedding and here are our very favorites:

Loved Kacie’s shoes and much of the venue decorations:

We were happy to hear that Kacie and Jon want to see each other before the ceremony to make better use of our time and create some awesome portraits. It was a pure pleasure to shoot a wedding at the Sebastiani Winery: it’s gorgeous all around and we were able to find lots of cute hidden spots for portrait settings:

Can anyone guess what this is? :)

Emotional moments at the beginning of the ceremony:

Sebastiani Winery had the most beautiful light for the ceremony:

The cocktail hour took place on the piazza in front of the winery:

We always try to sneak out of the reception for a few sunset portraits. Kacie and Jon were so cute with each other and totally awesome to photograph.

The sunset:

We loved the Barrel Room where the reception took place. It’s completely dedicated to wine and has ten-feet-tall wine barrels lining up the walls. The biggest barrel in the room is two stories high and has a a staircase wrapping around it. Kacie and Jon made an impressive grand entrance to their reception by winding down the stairs together.
