We had such a great time getting to know Sabrina, Sam, and their entire families for this last wedding of 2012! Each year the wedding season comes to an end at a different time and we were surprised this year to have a chance to capture love at the end of December. Sabrina and Sam had a gorgeous winter-themed wedding at the stately Sir Francis Drake Hotel right next to Union Square.
We loved to capture moments of this couple’s day because they’re so in love with each other. With the wedding taking place just days before Christmas and New Year’s love was certainly in the air everywhere we went and it was a blast to drive through the city with the bridal party while stopping to take photos at some great locations.

We love shooting Christmas time weddings – all the decorations and the twinkling lights add so much to the pictures. Here we spent some time playing with the lights from Sir Francis Drake’s Christmas tree:
It was supposed to rain the entire day of the wedding, so we came with a backup plan, prepared to shoot the whole portrait session indoors. We love shooting in Sir Francis Drake and weren’t complaining much, but it’s always nice to have a few outdoor wedding portraits. Well Mother Nature decided to cooperate and stopped the rain right in time when Sabrina got ready. We were able to photograph all over the city, and it started to rain only when we got in the limo leaving the last location. How’s that for the wedding day luck? :)
