Once in a while couples reach out to us who are already married but for some reason weren’t happy with their original wedding photographer. It’s always sad to hear about such stories, but unfortunately they do happen.
When we meet such a couple I find it crucial to find out what went wrong and what it is specifically that they didn’t like about the pictures. Sometimes it’s the compositions or awkward poses. Other times maybe the couple wanted the photos to show off the beauty of their San Francisco City Hall wedding venue.
This was the case with Naseem and Jeff, whose actual City Hall wedding was about two months ago. They reached out to talk about retaking their wedding portraits as they were hoping for different type of images.
We always feel an extra responsibility when photographing such a couple. The good thing is that they really know what they don’t want and it was pretty easy to understand what would make them happy.
For Naseem and Jeff’s wedding photos we went to San Francisco City Hall and Palace of Fine Arts. It was great to be at City Hall later in the day because the building was practically empty. We roamed the empty hallways and took advantage of very wide angle shots. This was just like an elopement but without the ceremony!
Mike,
THANK YOU SO MUCH! We absolutely LOVE the photos! They are EXACTLY what we wanted! Thank you so much! We are so glad we had a second chance to do this and are so happy we chose you to capture it for us! I can’t thank you enough! We are forever grateful.Sincerely,
Naseem and Jeff
