It seems that the majority of intimate weddings we photograph at the San Francisco City Hall are out of state couples. We’ve shot brides and grooms from what seems to be each of the fifty states, but also from out of country – China, England, even as far as Australia.
The more I think about it the more enticing it sounds to run away with your love to some beautiful far away city, elope, and have a wonderful honeymoon exploring and having fun. No politics of planning a big wedding, no drama :) Maybe it’s not too late for Mike and me and we’ll run away for our 10th wedding anniversary :)
Alex and Patrick came here all the way from Texas to make their 12 year relationship official! They haven’t seen the SF City Hall beforehand and were absolutely wowed by its size and beauty.

Mike had the honor of being the official witness for this union, and after a short but very sweet ceremony on the fourth floor balcony they were finally announced to be married!
Alex surprised Patrick with a beautiful white Rolls Royce that brought them from the Fairmont Hotel in the morning and after exploring every possible corner and floor of the City Hall they traveled in style to Golden Gate Park.
