Zahra and Ryan’s Wedding

Zahra and Ryan’s stylish wedding took place at the Ralston Hall Mansion in Belmont. This classically beautiful venue was an amazing setting for a Persian wedding as it had the extravagance of a mansion but with the coziness of someone’s warm house. It was also hard to believe that there were deer just grazing on the lawn in the front – surreal! We had a blast photographing Zahra and Ryan’s portraits inside and outside of the mansion. It was awesome just to see them let go and become the perfect models in front of our cameras.

It was also great to witness and take photos of their Persian wedding ceremony. The Sofreh Aghd is the name of the centerpiece used during the ceremony and it was beautifully decorated with symbolic items such as a mirror, bread, coins, walnuts, honey, and crystallized sugar. The bride and groom were seated on a bench in front of the Sofreh while relatives held a cloth above the couple’s head and were grinding two cones of sugar to shower the couple’s life with sweetness.

Catering for this wedding was provided by Chris and the talented team at Culinary Excellence. They did an amazing job with the dinner as well as the cake and mouthwatering desert bar.
