The plan was to meet Shadieh and George at San Francisco’s Land’s End and walk around the trail while capturing some beautiful engagement pictures. When we arrived there, however, the wind was so strong we could hardly open the car doors. Instead, we decided to go with plan B and retreat to the Sutro Heights Park across the street, where tall trees would shield us from the wind.

It turned out to be a great idea as everything from the light (it was more indirect) to the quieter winds helped to make the shots that much better. Shadieh and George really seemed to enjoy themselves which is the BEST way to get great engagement photos.

Shadieh and George will be getting married at the end of September this year and we can’t wait until their big day.

As many of you know, we just came back from Mexico, happy and swine-flu free :) Rimma and Mark’s destination wedding was just perfect: very much laid back and elegant in every way. Their wedding took place near the town of Tulum and we also had a couple of photo shoots with the bride and groom outside of their wedding day. We roamed through the jungles and ancient ruins, took pictures in a tiny beach town, and finished off by getting soaked in the ocean. Rimma and Mark were awesome models, eager to do crazy stuff, and go along with our sometimes wild ideas. In a word, it was FUN!

We still have hundreds of photos to go through and we’ll be posting much more of Mexico on the blog soon, but for now, here are some portrait highlights from the actual wedding day:
