A couple of days ago Mike sent me a link to this photographer’s website. I glanced at the first image for a second, saw two kids laying on the ground and was totally not impressed. Feeling something weird about the picture, I kept looking at it and suddenly it became three-dimensional. It was like one of those images where you look at a geometric pattern and eventually you see a beautiful 3D picture.

This collection of Jan Von Holleben is called “Dreams of Flying” and every one of the 12 pictures is just amazing! I was looking at each “dream” for a long time enjoying how simple and original they are.

While attending the wedding photographers convention in Florida we had the pleasure of meeting and being shot by Huy Nguyen of f8tudio. Amazingly talented and greatly respected, Huy was WPJA’s photographer of the year in 2005. It was an honor for us to have a few photos taken by him and we were inspired to meet such a humble and down to earth star.

His style is fresh, unexpected, and sometimes referred to as characteristically quirky. When we learned that he is offering to take a few shots – right then, right there, with your camera if you want to. We’ll try for an instant portrait – we were the first ones in line!

Ender is the adorable and beautiful son of my brother Alex and his wife Marianna. We had the pleasure of celebrating right on Ender’s birthdate last night and it was lots of fun. The kid is a joy to look at as he runs around full of non-stop energy. He also recently learned to hop which seems to be his second favorite activity now :)
