This is a session we’ve been really looking forward to as we would get to meet one of our “mystery” couples for this year: one of the several out-of-town couples who booked their date with us over the phone. Sabrina and Geoff are planning their destination wedding all the way from Massachusetts and we haven’t had a chance to meet them prior to their Moss Beach engagement session. We got together at a cozy coffee shop in Half Moon Bay just to chat for a while before their session. I think it’s a sign of a good connection with each other when you forget about time and almost miss the golden hour! :)
We quickly found a perfect little beach in Half Moon Bay:

We always say that it takes about ten minutes to relax and get comfortable in front of the camera, but it seemed that Sabrina and Jeff didn’t need those ten minutes, they were super cute and very much into each other from the very beginning of the session:

We got lucky with the sunset: it was absolutely gorgeous and added a lot to the pictures :

Sabrina and Geoff, you guys are super cute together, we cannot wait till your wedding day in July!

When we help our couples choose the best spot for their Engagement Session we always suggest narrowing it down to two main choices: a nature setting vs. an urban area. If you’re more shy and want to stay away from the curious eyes of bystanders then a nature setting is ideal. Or, if you feel brave and happy to be in the spot light, an urban setting can be chosen. But in this case, be ready for possibly hundreds of eyes looking at you trying to figure out who those people are surrounded by paparazzi and if they know you from some hot new TV show. Whichever you choose, it’s important to us that you are able to relax during the session and wethe location should be chosen wisely to match your comfort level.
So what would be the ultimate engagement session setting for the uber-brave? It would be a place with thousands of people walking by, kids, music, stores, cars honking, and even sea lions barking. That’s right – it would be The Fisherman’s Wharf just a couple of days before Christmas. Michelle and Roman were awesome in front of the camera: they were very much enjoying each others company without paying any attention to the cameras or the crowds of onlookers. We had a great time with them exploring the area and the holiday spirit was truly in the air.
We first met Michelle when she was a bridesmaid in Natalya and Rob’s Sir Francis Drake wedding. We are very much looking forward to Michelle and Roman’s wedding at the gorgeous Ritz Carlton hotel in July. Hearing about all the fabulous details that Michelle is busy planning I just can’t wait for their big day!

During the busy season sometimes we end up playing catch up with our blog posts and that’s definitely the case for Whitney and Mike’s fun engagement session in Golden Gate Park. We had a blast exploring the De Young museum area with all the beautiful spring nature that was around us.
Whitney and Mike’s wedding is coming up this August in beautiful wine country and we’re getting excited about their big day! One of the best parts of our profession is getting to know new and wonderful people as well as creating something very special and meaningful for them.
We hope you enjoy these:
