Whitney and Mike’s Engagement Session

During the busy season sometimes we end up playing catch up with our blog posts and that’s definitely the case for Whitney and Mike’s fun engagement session in Golden Gate Park. We had a blast exploring the De Young museum area with all the beautiful spring nature that was around us.

Whitney and Mike’s wedding is coming up this August in beautiful wine country and we’re getting excited about their big day! One of the best parts of our profession is getting to know new and wonderful people as well as creating something very special and meaningful for them.

Megan and Albert’s Engagement Photos

This is the next session from our Engagement Session marathon from couple of weeks ago. We were looking forward to this session for some time now, because Megan and Albert are as crazy about photographs as we are! The Palace of Fine Arts was unfortunately under constriction at a time, but it did not spoil the engagement session even a bit… We went around the place finding little nooks for pictures here and there and boy, were we blessed with gorgeous light on this day…

We are very much looking forward to Megan and Albert’s wedding in the Rotunda of Neiman Marcus this September. I still cannot believe that I’m going to be married by the time of their wedding! :)

Vanessa and Mike’s Engagement Session

A couple of weeks ago we had a marathon of Engagement shoots – four sessions in six days! We had an awesome time, and went all over the city, from Crissy Fields to Golden Gate Park and then to the Fisherman’s Wharf.

Many years ago I fell in love with California for no other reason than it’s incredible variety. Variety of people, variety of foods, mountains, deserts, ocean and forests… It seemed one can never get bored here. I consider myself very lucky living here and think it’s one of the best places to be a wedding photographer – the overwhelming variety of people, traditions and venues keep us on our toes and always inspires us.

Well, here is just one more example of that. The last engagement session on our blog was winter-themed and was shot in the snowy Lake Tahoe area. For this one we went to one of the beautiful local parks where everything was screaming SPRING!

Liza and Andrew were awesome sports and really up for anything. Their wedding is coming up in just a few short weeks and we are greatly looking forward to it!

Vika & Igor’s Engagement Session (part II)

As promised, here are some more pictures from a fabulous engagement session we had in Lake Tahoe a couple of weeks ago. We’ve been coming up to Tahoe quite a few times this winter and every time I’d look at all the beautiful snow and tell Mike how I wish we’d shoot here. And then at some point we thought it might be a neat idea to let people know that we’d love to do a session in Tahoe and we put it on our blog.

Well, what do you know? I got an immediate reply! Can I say once again that we absolutely love our crazy adventurous couples? It was sooo much fun! We spent the day running in the snow, throwing snowballs, jumping, getting our feet wet in a frozen pool, and we finished it off by making some snow angels :)

Vika and Igor are having a destination wedding in Mexico this summer and we are super excited to be with them on their wedding day!

Diana and Daniel’s Engagement Photos

We recently had yet another super-fun photo session on the Embarcadero in San Francisco. And for these engagement photos the couple brought along their adorable dog She-Ra! The five of us walked all around the waterfront and found all kinds of great settings for their shots.

Diana and Daniel’s big day is coming up in just one short week now and we can’t wait. For now, enjoy some of our faves from this session:

Jen and Nino’s Engagement Session

It’s not every day that we get to shoot engagement photos for a firefighter groom and a bride who is a paramedic, but that’s exactly what happened on this fabulous shoot. These guys were awesome models! And because of Jen and Nino’s super stylish clothes we were attracting attention everywhere we went. While this is not necessarily what we want, it was so much fun to capture their photos without the time pressure of a wedding day. We spent quite a while roaming The Embarcadero – hope you guys enjoy this series:

Anna and Gene’s Engagement Session

It was so great to meet up with Anna and Gene for their “destination” engagement session in Carmel. It just happened to be around the same time of year as when they first met and they made a weekend out of it by spending it in beautiful Carmel.

I’ve known Gene since we were both at UC Davis and it was a blast to get to know his fiancee. Anna and Gene’s Carmel engagement photos turned out to be a ton of fun. The sweet light around sunset time was simply surreal and we walked all around the downtown area before ending up on the beach to watch the sunset.

Jen and Ignacio’s Engagement Session

We recently had a chance to photograph Jen and Ignacio’s engagement portraits in Half Moon Bay. The four of us got pretty lucky with the great weather and the evening was beautiful! After discovering interesting scenes for photos in the Half Moon Bay downtown area we headed down to the State Beach and enjoyed some of the last rays of sweet light to be had on this day. Jen and Ignacio will be getting wed in the Carmel Valley this September and we just know their big day is going to be amazing.
