This past Sunday I had the honor to photograph a Simchat Bat – a baby naming ceremony.

This 11-day-old adorable baby girl has the most beautiful red hair and peacefully slept through the entire procession. I could feel how much everyone already loves this newborn baby girl and the ceremony was very touching.

    Hey, Natasha and Mike.
Thanks for the inspiration and ideas. I’m a photographer in Charlotte NC (previously Silver Spring, MD) and I’ve been doing this
for over 40 years. We have our first granddaughter, Lila, (first grandchild) being named in about a week and my wife Judy found your
site. I’ve never done a baby-naming before and not sure yet even if our temple will allow photography. But you gave me some ideas.
    Thanks so much.
